Amendment #1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
Obligatory 501(c)(3) compliance effectively places churches under governmental control.
or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;
The FCC and the "Fairness" Doctrine violate, if not the letter of the, its spirit. "Hate" crimes, too, abridge your freedom of speech. How is your criminal transgression any greater if you happen to utter a racial epithet in its commission?
or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
You want to peaceably assemble? Got a permit?
Petitioning the government? As in demanding an audit of the "Fed"?
Amendment #2
The right to bear arms is no longer a right, but a privilege granted by government. Privileges can be revoked.
Amendment #3
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house,
without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner
to be prescribed by law.
In other words, you are king of your castle..... unless you fail to pay your property taxes, of course. Property taxes render this "right" null and void.
Private property??

Amendment #4
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, PAPERS, and effects...
One word: IRS
Amendment #5
....nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.
Ever sign a tax return?
Amendment #6
to be confronted with the witnesses against him;
Too many of our "crimes" are victimless crimes. No victim, no witness.
Amendment #7
In suits at common law...
The legal profession no longer deals in common law, but rather statutes.
Amendment #8
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed...
It is nearly impossible to determine what "excessive" is when you have an ever-depreciating fiat currency. For example, the seventh amendment mentions the figure of "twenty dollars". At the time, that was roughly an ounce of gold. So would that sum today be $1000 federal reserve notes? The number can be quantified, of course, but presents any number of bureaucratic nightmares.
Amendment #9
The interpretation and usage of the commerce clause negates this.
Amendment #10
Self-explanatory.

***PostScript: I would in some way like to use the third amendment to make the case that the military draft is unconstitutional...but can't quite make the connection. Any suggestions?
